Case Study: Ridecell

Ridecell’s Mobility-as-a-Service platform and tools provide connected ridesharing and carsharing services on a global scale.  Their customers are car manufacturers, shared mobility providers, and fleet operators. By leveraging or interoperating with Ridecell’s platform and tools, companies can quickly launch their own ridesharing or carsharing service, increase fleet utilization, and have a solid foundation to grow profitable and high-yield shared mobility services.  Munich Re Ventures invested in Ridecell’s Series B round in October 2018, and facilitated an engagement between ERGO Mobility Solutions and Ridecell.

The strategic relationship leverages ERGO’s expertise in combining data, new, flexible technology, and deep mobility. As Ridecell secures further partnerships and obtains access to additional data sources through its technology integrations, ERGO will utilize this new data to improve risk management services and develop insurance solutions for Ridecell’s customers to lower their total cost of ownership or access.
